My last business olympics was a good experience. West did much better this year than last year since there were more west groups in the final round. I thought the winning group was really good and deserved it.

Business Olympics
JQ 11/19 Business Olympics is this Wednesday. What is your fondest memory of Business Olympics? How can you improve it. For those of you that have not done Business Olympics. What is the most influential event of your high school career.
My fondest memory of Business Olympics is when I worked on the Smart Notebook with Matt, John, Kate, and Alex. We worked really hard and had a lot of fun with it. I think it brought us really close together and we were upset when we didn't make finals. I can improve it by working even harder and making it to finals.

What do you do that makes this your best skill? (For example you read a lot.... helps you to do well on tests)
Will these skills help you in college and beyond?
My best skill in school is definitely test taking because I don't get stressed out and I usually do better on tests than projects or essays. I probably have good test taking skills because I like to read a lot. I think these skills will help me in college but I will have to improve on other skills like presentations and speaking for college and beyond.

JQ 11/7 As the leaves are turning and the weather is getting colder, what is your favorite thing about fall? List some of the activities you like to do. Be descriptive in your writing.
My favorite things about fall are the changing leaves and all the fall food and drinks. I love baking pumpkin bread and getting fall drinks from Starbucks. My mom always makes delicious soup and quinoa. I hate the cold weather but I love everything else about fall.

End of First Quarter
JQ 11/4 If you are writing this post you were here on Friday. The end of the first quarter of your senior year is this Friday, November 8th. What is the one thing you will miss the most about Smithtown West, your friends, family and community.
It's hard to believe that I only have three quarters left of senior year and that I'll be leaving Smithtown before I know it. I've never been away from my family for more than a week at a time and I know I'm going to miss them even though they can get on my nerves. It's going to be a shock when I go to college barely knowing anyone and I'll really miss my friends that I've become so close with all these years. I've been going to school in the same town almost my entire life so this will be a huge change and I'm excited but it's definitely bittersweet.
